Zoe Migel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Mexico and Oregon who has provided support to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families for twenty years. She began career in Los Angeles, CA in 1997 when she graduated with her Bachelor's in Child Development from California State University, Northridge. In 1998, she began working with CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disorders). After a stint working in the United Arab Emirates, she transferred to CARD's New York office and worked for the next two years as an ABA Program Supervisor. While in New York, she attended Columbia University and graduated with a Masters in International Social Work and Social Administration. In 2002, she returned to her home town of Santa Fe, NM. In 2005, she established a private practice and founded Bright Futures to provide an array of services focused on information and advocacy in support of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

Zoe was able to help me figure out what I needed to do. She supported me by going over the IEP. She helped me to know what’s important and how to express it in a way that makes sure my son gets his needs met. Having Zoe go over the IEP with a keen eye and attend the IEP team meetings to make sure all the pieces are there and nothing gets missed was very helpful. Zoe helped me a lot with insurance and making sure I knew which services should be available, what insurance companies provided those services, and what was required to get ABA providers in place.

Zoe has been a godsend with my granddaughter! The diagnosis was such a big shock at the beginning, but Zoe has really helped us along and taught us how to cope with it. We trust her, and we really enjoy working with her. Zoe cares about her patients and does a great job. She has been so helpful; she goes out of her way to do things for our family. She even helped us show my granddaughter that it was safe to go to the dentist!

Working with Zoe made all the difference in the world for my son. He’s doing well academically, goes to soccer camps, Cub Scouts... Let me put it this way: my brother and his wife who are special educators call him “the poster child for early intervention”! Zoe was always unbiased and supportive when she worked with us. Zoe is a consummate professional. I’m indebted to her for all she has done for my son.

I felt like Zoe and my son had a good connection; they got along really well. She helped him and us. At the time, our biggest concern was our son’s physical acting-out. Zoe helped us figure out how to deal with it at home and at school. She taught us how to work with him to verbalize his feelings instead of acting out; he wasn’t “being bad”, he just couldn’t express himself! And you should see him now - he is so great in social situations! I know that’s because of the support he got from Zoe; the play groups she structured were the basis for it. Behaviors, social stuff... I don’t even worry about it anymore. His social life is good. We owe that to Zoe.

Thank you Zoe for being an angel that has been around my family and me since four years ago when God knew that I need you the most. The first angel that God send me was my daughter. Two years after she was born, God send me another angel to help me find the way. This angel put a mark on me, a very good mark, and I will never find the correct words to let you know how grateful I am. Thank you so, so much for everything.
